Feel more confident walking into a yoga class.
If you’re new to yoga, or simply want a clearer understanding of the basics, this beginner-friendly program is designed to help you build a strong foundation for your yoga practice. You’ll learn common poses, proper alignment for safe and effective positioning, and how to connect your breath to movement.
Kim is known for her clear, approachable cueing and warm, supportive teaching style that helps students better understand what they’re doing in their bodies — not just follow along.
You’ll learn how to modify poses to fit your body, so you can move in a way that feels strong, supported, and beneficial to the longevity of your practice — both on and off the mat.
Classes are intentionally small and supportive, giving you space to ask questions, receive personalized feedback, and build confidence through real understanding.
This is a space to slow down, learn the fundamentals, and create a practice that feels good in your body.

Yoga classes can move quickly, and it’s easy to feel like everyone else somehow already knows what’s going on. This workshop is designed to help change that.
You’ll begin to understand the language commonly used in yoga classes, feel more confident transitioning between poses, and learn the foundations behind movements you’ll hear in many studio settings — from specific poses like Chatturanga and Downdog to Sun Salutations A and B sequences and more.
Instead of wondering if you’re “doing it right,” you’ll better understand why poses are taught the way they are, what sensations to look for, and how to make adjustments that support your body.
You’ll also build a stronger foundation for future growth in your practice. As new variations, balances, binds, and advancements are introduced in class, you’ll have the understanding and body awareness to explore them with greater confidence and stability.
This isn’t about “being good at yoga.” It’s about finally understanding what you’re doing in your body so you can step into class — online or in person — with clarity and readiness.
You’ll leave with a grounded understanding of the most common yoga poses, how to safely and intelligently move through them, and how to actually feel what you’re being asked to do in class — not just copy shapes.
More importantly, you’ll start to recognize your own body in the practice. You’ll know how to adjust when something doesn’t feel right, how to make a pose work for you, and how to build a practice that feels steady, supportive, and sustainable.
This workshop is intentionally small so you’re not just following along — you’re learning, asking questions, and receiving real-time feedback and support along the way.
